Đặt chảo lên bếp cùng với 1-2 thìa dầu ăn, khi dầu nóng thì cho hành khô vào phi cho thơm mới cho thịt trai vào xào, nêm chút muối, bột nêm, nước mắm, tiêu đen đảo đều là tắt bếp, xúc thịt trai ra bát.
Múc cháo trai ra tô sau đó rắc hành hoa, rau răm, 1 chút tiêu đen và xúc nhân thịt trai lên trên, khi ăn trộn đều và thưởng thức.
