It takes time but it's different for every single one of us. My last relationship was difficult but I was so in love with her I even wanted to move to her city just to be closer. Then she broke up after cheating on me and told me it's because I was always so sad because of what happened. I was heartbroken for 3 years. Took me 2 more years to open up to new people in general and then I met my current boyfriend. We are in a relationship since 2017, we already plan a family and I just love him to bits. He treats me better than anyone ever did and yeah... Sorry I'm drifting off. But what I mean to tell you by that is that you need all the time it takes. I will never have a partner, as I was born with a hareclip (look it up on Google) and that looks very ugly and unpleasant. I will be too ugly to attract nice women, probably for the rest of my life. My own family treat me like some special kid with a mental disorder, even though they would never admit it, but I can feel it through their behaviour towards me, which is different from how they treat others. I don't have any friends, and the ones I had were taking advantage of my loneliness and used it for their own benefit. But here I am, lonely, depressed, and miserable looking, and still living. Think of it a leg injury, immediate reaction is you need a cast and complete bedrest. But after a while you need to excercise, run around walk a lot to get your original strength back. Its not easy, most of the time even painful, but eventually you will get there. Considering 7 months, I would say the sweat pants stage is over, stop feeling bad about yourself, go out there, make fool of yourself, do mistakes, trip, fall but I promise you this, no matter how long it takes, you will get there, provided you never stop trying! For me i just kinda evolved some Kind of hate towards her (she did fuck up the whole Situation quite a bit) and then i think about her and me and I first muss her but then im like "Wtf. She has done so many adshole things to me, why do you even miss her. You are better off without her." Kinda works. But not that well. Probably just time will help. U will stop thinking about her and at some point she is just not Part of your life anymore and just the effort it would take and the awkwardness it would would bring isnt Worth it. Just move on. Sounds hard, but it will help you. Look for good friends. You need something that makes you smile and maybe try to have as few free time as you can, cause when you are busy you wont think about her.
